Summary: Dr. Naruto Uzumaki, the Cannibal Fox, dreams a little dream
Naruto strolled down the hallway, humming along with the music that flowed through the mansion. The carpet and wooden floors were fresh, as if brand new, despite the fact that he had trodden on the countless times over the years. Hanging from the walls were mismatched paintings, some from Monet and van Gogh, while others were blown up pictures that he had seen in old medical text books.
The young doctor continued on, going right past the library, in which shelves were added almost daily. It was filled with every book that Naruto had ever read. He ignored the urge to curl up with a book, but the calling was stronger, more powerful than the desire for Shakespeare or Voltaire.
After what seemed like hours, the hallway eventually ended at a door. It was large and plain, looking as if it was made from a strong wood. Naruto turned the handle, and it slowly swung open, the hinges moving without a squeak.
The inside of the room didn't match the decorations of the main part of the mansion at all. The walls were barren and the floors were concrete. In the middle of the room was an operating table, and strapped to it was the body of a naked man. Naruto calmly approached, a predator stalking its prey.
The man was unconscious and unremarkable. His face was blurry at best, and when he finally opened his eyes, Naruto couldn't determine what color they were.
Finally the haze dissipated, and the man became Dr. Mizuki, the director of the Konoha State Hospital for the Criminally Insane.
Smiling, Naruto took a scalpel from the tray beside the bed, noting how Mizuki's eyes widened in fear when he raised the knife.
As the music reached the crescendo, Naruto's hand paused for a moment, then darted like a viper onto a mouse…

The janitor froze, chills crawling up his spine as the prisoner in the cell next to him began to hum. He slowly raised his head and recognized him.
Dr. Naruto Uzumaki.
The Cannibal Fox.
He backed away, eyes never leaving the seemingly sleeping criminal, straight into a solid body. The janitor jumped and spun around, only to come face to face with Tsunade, head orderly of the maximum security unit.
She raised an eyebrow at his reaction, and then glanced at the cell behind him. A small, motherly smile appeared on her face at the sight of the slumbering man.
"W-what do yout think he's dreaming of?" asked the janitor, voice quivering from fear.
"I'm sure," the woman said softly, "Dr. Uzumaki is dreaming of happier times."
The humming reached its peak, and the cannibal's lips twisted into a grin.
